1. When a human is at high altitude levels that means that the air pressure is low and there are strong winds with low humidity which means hydration can quickly occur. Air pressure is 30% lower than normal levels so the oxygen levels are a lot lower than usual, examples like being on top of a mountain would have lower air pressure due to the high altitude. When a human breathes at high altitude levels it is hard for the air to enter the vascular systems due to a process called hypoxia. High altitude levels can also lead to "high altitude sickness" which have common symptoms like vomiting, headache, distorted vision, loss of appetite, fatigue and other symptoms like these. There are many life threatening things that can be cause from high altitude sickness including, heart failure, liquid around the brain starting to develop, phenomia like symptoms and many more life threatening cases.
2. (a) heat: heat is generally helped to adjust to when sweating alot. The more you sweat the more you stay hydrated. In recent studies it shows that men tend to sweat a lot more and much faster than women do. Women can achieve sweating easily by exercising. It is also true that "sports drinks" are meant to help in hot climate situation such as ones that are uncontrollable.
(b) high levels of solar radiation: ultraviolet radiation from the sun helps contribute the tan skin during the summer time. The sun is giving off heat waves in which cause the skin to become darker during the summer time.
(c) cold: A helpful way for helping with the cold is insulating clothing, houses and fires. One way that people seem to believe is quite helpful is through drinking alcohol in which it warms up your body. Although alcohol is only a temporary warmer and clothing is a long term warmer. Some cultures also sleep together (families) in order to keep there body heat together and keep warm instead of loosing more body heat sleeping alone.
(d) high altitude: Indians from Bolivia and Peru have been able to remain at high altitude levels by producing more hemoglobin as well as increasing there lung capability. One thing they came up with was to create faster in order to get more oxygen as well as having broader arteries and capillaries. This allows for more oxygen to be able to get to there muscles a lot faster.
3. Learning of these human variations that have been discovered over the years has given us a huge advantage to the human race. Humans can be very limited to the things we do if none of these things were discovered. Without certain discoveries like these humans would not survive in the winter or summer and especially not when going to higher altitudes. Any information like these ones can be useful to us because the more we learn about situations we may have to overcome the more likely we are going to survive them. One way this information can be extremely useful is when going to the snow or just being in the winter time. Not many people now how easy it is to get one of the explained sicknesses and the examples on how to fix them are quite easy to follow.
4. A lot of the adaptations described are from different races reasoning why we were able to discover them. Certain races were from different times, different climates, and whole different worlds and they had to be able to find a way to survive in the climates they were in. Human races can easily be described y the human variations because it explains what they had to go through in order to survive as humans. Every human is different, yes, but most humans had to go through something may it be similar or not similar in their lives that deals with adapting to something in order to survive.

Language Assignment Experiment
Surprisingly
this part of the assignment was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I
thought trying to express myself without being able to speak would be the
hardest thing to do. They seemed a
little bit puzzled when trying to express what they were saying probably due to
the fact that they were not able to fully understand what they were saying when
I thought I was being really clear. They completely altered their way of
communicating with me of how they normally would to adapt to the way I was
communicating with them. It was almost like we both just wanted to start laughing
because we did not know what to say or how to say it. I believe that the
culture that is able to speak verbally has more of an advantage in being able
to communicate their ideas and ways of living. Although the one that is able to
use their hands to communicate can probably express themselves more
emotionally. The speaking culture may be confused, mainly because they are not
used to that sort of communication. They do not know how to understand it
without understanding verbal language. It goes in the same situation with a
deaf human being and a person that is able to speak. Deaf people normally can
only understand sign language meaning using their hands. So someone speaking
would be no use to a person who is deaf. This is a situation that happens
constantly in our society today.
I was
not able to last the full 15 minutes without using any sort of gesture or language
when I was speaking. The most difficult thing was not being able to move my
hands because that is something I am always doing. Moving my hands is a very important
way of communicating to me. My partners in this communication experiment felt
that they were not able to fully understand what I was trying to say because I
was not able to complete what I was saying without using my hands or face.
Using signs in our language today to me is one of the most important concepts
of our language. It is what we use to express how we feel or help express something
we are trying to say or do. This experiment helps explain hour important those
signs really are and it really gives you the true meaning of them. I believe
that there are some people that have difficulty in reading body language but in
a lot of situations I think that most people understand it to the most extent. You’re
able to understand how they’re feeling, or what they’re trying to do. Body
language really shows someone’s emotions to a certain depth. Some situations you
might want your body language to be hidden in situations like when showing
fear. Maybe in a robbery or other bad situation of that nature showing your
emotions may cost you your life. Although there are many other situations that
you could hide your fear for the sake of your safety.
